Image
Our District - Elder Turner is in the Middle & My Companion is next to me! Ola , Well, its been a long week of study, study, and study. And I Love it! Its crazy to realize that I only have 2 more weeks in America!! And I could`nt be more excited.  Monday - P-Day! We attend the temple once again, and I could`nt get enough of it. I love the temple with all my heart and I'm so grateful that we get to go in the House of the Lord. Then for the rest of Monday I did Usual p-day stuff - emailed, washed clothes, shopped at MTC store etc.   Tuesday - I  love Tuesdays because we have only one class, Then a devotional later in the night. Plus, Elder Anderson came and spoke to us!   What a powerful message he had. His topic was temple attendance and what the blessing are from going to the temple.  Wednesday - Wednesday's are my second favorite day of the week. First off, because the new Elders and Sister come in. ( Btw I saw Elder Parker H...

Week #3 - Fires & the Spirit

Image
What a Week.. It is flying by. I cant believe its almost week 4!! There are some bad fires down here. A t night you can see the flames on the top of the mountain and whenever we are studying outside ashes cover us.     This week has been such a spiritual week.  Our 20 minute lesson went really well and for the first time in a while I felt the spirit in a actual Portuguese lesson.  At the end of the lesson I bore my testimony and added some stuff that I didn't really know I could piece together like that. At the end the Lady we were teaching gave us some advice and told me that she loved my testimony, She said with "how far you guys are into the MTC your doing pretty well".  The fields have been open for a while and we always go play some volleyball (sand-volleyball) with all the elders in the district and some in the zone.  Man the games get heated and I love it haha. I've been doing lots of studying this week, both Portuguese and...

Ola,  Its been a wild week of ups and downs, I don't even know where to start. This whole week we have been preparing for a lesson that Elder Hancock and I have tomorrow. Not just a regular lesson but a 20 minute lesson in Portuguese!! So we are both Kinda nervous,  but so is everyone in our district. The only problem is that I can only barely share a short testimony and a Prayer so I guess we`ll see what happens tomorrow.  Through faith we know that it will be alright.  Mainly this week we`ve been going to classes later in the night learning how to teach and its all been in English so thats been really nice. The morning classes are really tough for me, they are in Portuguese.  We are learning how to use grammar and have learned only the basics in how to talk to people, so its kinda weird.  The most difficult part is hearing others talk because they speak much faster than what I can currently understand.   The rough part is that our ...
