Week #2 - The Book of Mormon is AMAZING!!

Its been a wild week of ups and downs, I don't even know where to start. This whole week we have been preparing for a lesson that Elder Hancock and I have tomorrow. Not just a regular lesson but a 20 minute lesson in Portuguese!! So we are both Kinda nervous,  but so is everyone in our district.
The only problem is that I can only barely share a short testimony and a Prayer so I guess we`ll see what happens tomorrow.  Through faith we know that it will be alright. 

Mainly this week we`ve been going to classes later in the night learning how to teach and its all been in English so thats been really nice. The morning classes are really tough for me, they are in Portuguese. 
We are learning how to use grammar and have learned only the basics in how to talk to people, so its kinda weird.  The most difficult part is hearing others talk because they speak much faster than what I can currently understand.   The rough part is that our teacher Irma Ludlum isn't speaking English anymore, just Portuguese.  We are all lost besides some kids that seem to know everything. 

Something cool that happened the other day is it got to run with Elder Headquist!   Its was nice to talk to him for a bit. My district started calling me the flash because I ran 4 miles on a 10 lap track, and it wasn't slow either.  The day before I raced a mile on the track - it felt so good.  The worst part is we can't dunk anymore.  I got yelled at for touching the rim, but it was pretty great!  

One thing I would Challenge all of you to do is read the Book Of Mormon is has been an answer to my prayers. There is so much knowledge you can gain from it. My favorite part of my day is when we get to read and study.  I love the Book of Mormon. I Love you guys and thanks for the Prayers.  I've felt them.  I know the Church is true and I love My Savior.  I know that The Book Of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ and I am so happy for what he did for us.

Week #49 - Church News in Mozambique - July 29th, 2019

Short and brief this week!  I am staying in Beira for another transfer!!  They brought me your package! Thank you, Thank you ! I cannot tell you how much it meant to open it up.  A bunch of missionaries had already looked through it, but I don't think they took anything.  The shoes are AMAZING!!  I feel like I am in heaven when I wear them in the area.  The basketball hoop is the highlight when we come back home and I am trying to stretch out the food!  Please tell Benjamin thank you again for bringing for me!   I had tons of splits with different missionaries this week.  My companion had other responsibilities.  Our Bishop has set up for us to only mark baptisms for every 2 weeks now.  I think that will help them keep up with all the new members.  We are still teaching a ton and people are progressing well. Week # 23 - The Voice of the Spirit

Thanks to Elder Thornton - We have Pictures of CJ and the Nacala Squad!! (It took over 12 hrs for his family to receive these pictures!)   Well, the internet stinks and is not that great!  Still very slow and still no photos. This week has been lots of lessons and tons of walking. My feet have tons of blisters on them, and now my shoes are getting holes in the sides because of how much we walk.  I have been way tired and I am always hungry, but it’s been good.  I’m picking up on understanding the language, but still very difficult for me.  Please keep me in your prayers. Thanks for all the pictures and advice I love every one of them.  I’m trying to offer lots more prayers.  It has definitely helped.  I haven’t done a prayer silent or out loud in english since the MTC, so I hope they are still sincere and God knows I’m giving my all.
