Week # 23 - The Voice of the Spirit

Thanks to Elder Thornton - We have Pictures of CJ and the Nacala Squad!! (It took over 12 hrs for his family to receive these pictures!)
Well, the internet stinks and is not that great!  Still very slow and still no photos.

This week has been lots of lessons and tons of walking. My feet have tons of blisters on them, and now my shoes are getting holes in the sides because of how much we walk.  I have been way tired and I am always hungry, but it’s been good.  I’m picking up on understanding the language, but still very difficult for me.  Please keep me in your prayers.

Thanks for all the pictures and advice I love every one of them.  I’m trying to offer lots more prayers.  It has definitely helped.  I haven’t done a prayer silent or out loud in english since the MTC, so I hope they are still sincere and God knows I’m giving my all.

About Nacala

The Nacala Squad (4 Elders) is sweet!  The four of us get along so well.  I think that makes a difference in the work.   Elder Francom and I have a baptism this week actually 2!  I am way pumped. We are doing them again on the beach so that will be awesome.  We are teaching about 6-7 lessons a day.  It’s killing me, but its the Lords work so I’m proud to be doing it.  It’s been raining lots here which turns into flooding on the roads and everywhere.  It is still incredibly hot .
We have been doing lots of teaching from The Book of Mormon.  It’s been so great.  I love learning from the Book of Mormon. It is True!!  Every time we teach we try to read the 1st Chapter of Nephi with the investigators and every time we do I feel like I learn something new.   For sure I challenge Kaden and the rest of you to really study that chapter.  Just the 1st one and dig down deep.  Then continue to carry that depth of study into your daily Book of Mormon study.  It’s such a simple chapter but it has so much meaning.

Cool Story of the Week:
Elder Francom and I were walking and heard a man yell Elders.  We both turned and there was a man near us.  We asked him if he said Elders,  but he said he didn't and he was the only man around. We got a lesson with him and now we are teaching him and he is close to Baptism.
Later that night we thought about how the Spirit works and that the Spirit directed us to that man and we even heard the Voice of the Spirit, saying Elders.
Another cool thing.  We were way hungry today and we have a coconut tree in the backyard.  We were working all morning to get it way high in the tree and man came up to help us.  He scaled the tree with ease -  like a 30 foot tree, freaky!  So for breakfast we had coconuts, haha!
Thanks for all the love and prayers.  I’m working my hardest,  but it’s tough and it rocks at the same time.  I’m trying day after day and trying to learn the language the best I can.

Thanks fam. Com amor,
Elder Rees
