Week #70 Natal Chegou Cedo (Christmas Arrived Early)

Tuesday- Got an emergency call from President Senna.  Had to do divisions with some missionaries all day. There has been lots and lots of rain today, but some great work! These missionaries were having some problems in the area.

Wednesday- Woke up at 4 am to take these Elders to the airport because of the problems happening. Afterward we switched out for our new car!! ( photo )  Maputo received automatics, but we still have stick shift - getting pretty good at driving one now!

Thursday-Worked in our area and held interviews. Did an interview for a family of 15! it was incredible and they were all baptized this Saturday. But other than that it was a normal day of great work.  It was a way long day, but we dropped 3 baptismal dates with Dinnho and Palmeira and Joao for the 11th of January so we are getting really excited for them.

Friday- Our scheduled baptism with Ancha is leaving for Tete today and isn't returning so it was kinda sad to say our goodbyes after working with her for so long but, she'll do great and get baptized in Tete.

Saturday- Had to do some work with the zone dropping of things and taking pictures of the houses for the office.  We did that until about 2 then had the ward party.  It was so good.  We watched lots of talents and at night we ate with George, a worker for the church living here.

Sunday- Church it was great! Learned about the birth of Christ and afterward went home took a nap, and went back to work in the area and taught our English class.
This next week we have 6 batismos ready so we were just getting them prepared for their interview, Tuesday on Christmas Eve!

This is the best time of the year to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!  I'm so thankful to be serving the Lord and the people of Mozambique at this time of year. I love you all and Feliz Natal!!!!
