Week #60 - We had to stay in our Apartment - Looking forward to a good Snooze!!

It is weird to be sending this on Friday!  We have to stay in our apartment because of the elections.  The people can get a bit crazy and you never know how safe it will really be.  I am exhausted and I think I am going to sleep for days!  Oh, I wish.  Hopefully I can catch up a bit though.

Week #49 - Church News in Mozambique - July 29th, 2019

Short and brief this week!  I am staying in Beira for another transfer!!  They brought me your package! Thank you, Thank you ! I cannot tell you how much it meant to open it up.  A bunch of missionaries had already looked through it, but I don't think they took anything.  The shoes are AMAZING!!  I feel like I am in heaven when I wear them in the area.  The basketball hoop is the highlight when we come back home and I am trying to stretch out the food!  Please tell Benjamin thank you again for bringing for me!   I had tons of splits with different missionaries this week.  My companion had other responsibilities.  Our Bishop has set up for us to only mark baptisms for every 2 weeks now.  I think that will help them keep up with all the new members.  We are still teaching a ton and people are progressing well. Week #12 - Service Brings Blessings....even Football Games sometimes!

Elder Barney, Elder Hancock & I are headed to Mozambique - President Clint Smith dropped us off. (check out the lady in the back?) We are headed to Mozambique!!  Our plans are awesome.  We land in Washington DC and have a lay over for like 7 hours and then fly to Africa.  We leave at 5pm on Monday and arrive in Mozambique late Tuesday evening (Utah time).  We change plans in South Africa and fly a small plane into Mozambique.  I already know that I will be serving in Beira.   I have only taught once in Portuguese in Florida.  I usually bear my testimony and say a prayer in Portuguese when we are out teaching people.  The language is going to be rough, but I am excited to get there. Even better, guess where we went on Saturday?   A Florida State University Football Game!!   Elder Nate and I helped out one of the FSU coaches with some service.  We saw someone that needed help, so we stopped. ...
