Week #53 - We See The Lord's Hand is in this Work!!



Wow this week was amazing!!  We started out great doing the normal work.  I was on divisions with an Elder from California.  He's headed home in two weeks and he taught me a lot.  Then me and my companion became sick.  It lasted for days... I have stories, but I cannot share them here.  That was a bummer of the week.  

But I traveled to an outside area called Chimoio!!  It was like a 3 hour car ride.  The Zone Leader left his companion with Elder Van Orden and took me with him to pick up President Senna.  We spent the whole day together with Pres.  He is a great man and has a great sense of humor!  He took us to a nice restaurant and then we drove back to Beira


This week we have 1 person for baptismo so we are both way pumped!! The work is continuing. Beira is growing and so is Mozambique.  I'm so excited to see the Lord's hand in the work this week!!  Thanks for the prays.

Short and brief this week!  I am staying in Beira for another transfer!!  They brought me your package! Thank you, Thank you ! I cannot tell you how much it meant to open it up.  A bunch of missionaries had already looked through it, but I don't think they took anything.  The shoes are AMAZING!!  I feel like I am in heaven when I wear them in the area.  The basketball hoop is the highlight when we come back home and I am trying to stretch out the food!  Please tell Benjamin thank you again for bringing for me!   I had tons of splits with different missionaries this week.  My companion had other responsibilities.  Our Bishop has set up for us to only mark baptisms for every 2 weeks now.  I think that will help them keep up with all the new members.  We are still teaching a ton and people are progressing well. Week # 23 - The Voice of the Spirit

Thanks to Elder Thornton - We have Pictures of CJ and the Nacala Squad!! (It took over 12 hrs for his family to receive these pictures!)   Well, the internet stinks and is not that great!  Still very slow and still no photos. This week has been lots of lessons and tons of walking. My feet have tons of blisters on them, and now my shoes are getting holes in the sides because of how much we walk.  I have been way tired and I am always hungry, but it’s been good.  I’m picking up on understanding the language, but still very difficult for me.  Please keep me in your prayers. Thanks for all the pictures and advice I love every one of them.  I’m trying to offer lots more prayers.  It has definitely helped.  I haven’t done a prayer silent or out loud in english since the MTC, so I hope they are still sincere and God knows I’m giving my all.
