Week #45 - This Week was Incredible!
This week was incredible!
We had Zone Conference and I heard the last testimony from Elder Draney and Elder Inskeep. That was sweet and we also had 7 batismos!! It's growing here, I can't believe it!! We also had interviews with President Senna. They were great. He is gonna send me down to the hospital in Maputo for my foot to get an x-ray - so way pumped by that. But ya, I'm doing really good. Literally this whole week we were walking, preaching, and testifying in the area from 10-9 every day. We didn't come back for lunch and just ate on the road...I'm so tired... But its awesome, the work of the Lord is here in Mozambique and I can't wait for more adventures.
Spiritual Story-
We are teaching a boy, Edward, who is 16 years old about our church. (He's also visited once) Our first visit he said he wasn't sure about The Church, but he loves the Bible. He asked us if we could help him answer questions about the Bible another time so we agreed. When we ended we gave him an invite to pray about getting baptized and about joining our church. Then yesterday the first thing he said to us (tanslation to English) "Guys I prayed about the church... I want to be baptized!" We just sat there in awe and we marked him for the 20th for baptism. It was really incredible!
Kinda weird story of the week-
We were walking home from a full day of work like at 8pm and we were talking to a man and then all of the sudden someone came up from behind and put me in a choke hold. (I was thinking it was George a member from our ward, 19 years old and is about the coolest guy ever, and he was just messing around). But nope it was a drunk lady... wow I have never moved so fast and slipped out of her hands way fast and didn't say anything but just left. It was way weird! haha.. Elder Van Orden and I laughed about it.
Poderoso (Powerful) story-
I was talking to a man for a contact and he asked about how we are real missionaries like we have so many religous how can I trust you guys.. I thought for a second then I said we have the name of the Lord Jesus Christ on our bodies, infront of our heart. We walk with the power of God every day, God is with us and that's how I know that we are servants of the Lord. It was a really powerful experience and I was so grateful to be able to speak those words. After we got his number too.

Children story-
We were walking to a visit and Elder Van Orden was talking with a member. We were by and Orange Stand so I grabbed some oranges and started juggling.. after about 10 seconds I didn't even realize it because I was so focused on the oranges and juggling and about 30 kids surround me. They were in awe..."Teach me how!" ... "How do you do that?"... hahah. They were so excited and eager. It felt like Americas Got Talent... hahah

I know Jesus is the Christ our Redeemer. He died for all mankind so we could return and live with Him in the highest glory and be perfected. I know that God is our Father in Heaven who sent us here to experience trials and tests and to receive a body of flesh and blood. I know God sends missionaries all around the world to prepare the people for the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ. We are the elect generation and God is preparing us to be leaders. En nome de Jesus Cristo, Amem
That's the week from Africa,
Love ya,
Elder Rees
