Week #39 - A lot has happened these past 2 weeks!

Image
It has been two weeks since talking with you.  A lot has happened.   I met with President Senna.  He is a hard working Pres.  He keeps us working hard.  Our goals are 30 contacts a day, 10 lessons a day, and we need to prepare and train Melchizedek Priesthood holders.   We have a branch here in Napipini and we are in a District.  To have a Stake we have to have more Melchizedek Priesthood holders.  He is firm with the Missionaries and he keeps things going. We had 4 people baptized 2 weeks ago.  We are working with 3 men to get the priesthood right now.  I miss Delmar from Nacala.  He gave me a key chain when I left.  I learned he is working on his MISSION PAPERS.  He was just baptized earlier this year when I was there.  He wanted to receive the priesthood right after his baptism.  He is 22 yrs old.  He wanted me to call him when I moved, but I am not able to do that.  I hope to connect wit...

Hey family, It’s been the craziest week here!  First off there was a way bad cyclone this past week and we all got evacuated to Maputo.  It was really stressful. Actually what happened is last Monday we got a call from Pres. Senna and he said we needed to leave as soon as possible to Nampula.  So we all packed everything and headed to Nampula.  We rented a chapa (van) and left. After a few hours we arrived and stayed with the Zone Leaders for a few days.  Then on Thursday we received another call from Pres. and he bought flights for all of the missionaries in Nampula!!  That was over 25 flights, since we have to take two different flights to get to the mission home.  We all flew down Friday to Maputo and stayed with missionaries there doing contacts and teaching lessons with the AP’s for a week. E tambĂ©m (And also) we were living out of our suitcase - it was a party.  I did get to my bag and I have my other pair of shoes and more shirts a...
