Week #34 - The Miracle of WATER!!

I'm doing great! Really it’s been a pretty good week besides not Celebrating Easter at all!!  I didn’t even know it was Easter.  When I woke up it was like a regular day.  No signs or changes with the people here either.  Hope it was good for you!  Sometimes it feels like we are on a different planet here. It is so different than America.

Well, our first miracle is that the mission secretaries came up and brought us another water pump and got it fixed for us.   Over 2 weeks of no showering and no water!  haha.. it was tough.  We were sweaty all day and then we would come home and just have nothing.  Me and Elder Francom did try to take a shower in the rain.  It was pretty weird, but we just got our hair and arms washed, haha. So yes, I had a real shower and it felt so great!!  We now have water we can drink when we are home. It is easy to take that for granted too, until you don't have any.

The internet was terrible today.  I’ve sent only 2 emails, but I will try and make this a good one.  This week was pretty fun. Nothing too crazy.  This next week we have a casamento (a marriage).  The other Elders have a person that we are going to help get married too.  We have lots of people preparing for Baptism in 2 weeks. Another miracle is that we are seeing more people at church each Sunday.  We hit a record of 68 people in igreja (church).  So close to the 70 - that was our goal.

We have been teaching tons of people lately.  We have 4 people that are preparing to be Baptized on May 4th, but we will see.  I still haven’t seen conference, but that’s totally ok, we are in the Lord’s Hands.  

Thanks for all the prayers!  I really appreciate them. Ok, Mom & Dad I might try and call tonight haha...it was so fun talking to you guys a few weeks ago so just be ready haha... talvez (maybe) not, but I am going to try.  I’m trying to send more over the internet.  It is terrible. I gotta bounce.

Short and brief this week!  I am staying in Beira for another transfer!!  They brought me your package! Thank you, Thank you ! I cannot tell you how much it meant to open it up.  A bunch of missionaries had already looked through it, but I don't think they took anything.  The shoes are AMAZING!!  I feel like I am in heaven when I wear them in the area.  The basketball hoop is the highlight when we come back home and I am trying to stretch out the food!  Please tell Benjamin thank you again for bringing for me!   I had tons of splits with different missionaries this week.  My companion had other responsibilities.  Our Bishop has set up for us to only mark baptisms for every 2 weeks now.  I think that will help them keep up with all the new members.  We are still teaching a ton and people are progressing well. Week # 23 - The Voice of the Spirit

Thanks to Elder Thornton - We have Pictures of CJ and the Nacala Squad!! (It took over 12 hrs for his family to receive these pictures!)   Well, the internet stinks and is not that great!  Still very slow and still no photos. This week has been lots of lessons and tons of walking. My feet have tons of blisters on them, and now my shoes are getting holes in the sides because of how much we walk.  I have been way tired and I am always hungry, but it’s been good.  I’m picking up on understanding the language, but still very difficult for me.  Please keep me in your prayers. Thanks for all the pictures and advice I love every one of them.  I’m trying to offer lots more prayers.  It has definitely helped.  I haven’t done a prayer silent or out loud in english since the MTC, so I hope they are still sincere and God knows I’m giving my all.
