Week #9 - The Destruction Would Make You Cry


Wow its been a crazy week! 
Service, tracting, and a few lessons here and there. 

I don`t even know where to start... All Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Elder Nate and
I bike around Tallahassee.  One thing that is kind of difficult about Tallahassee Florida is that is isn't flat! It is hill after hill and tons of up and down.  So ya I bike everyday. I'm dead tired. 


The work here is tough but its coming slowly. Most of the people here always say they have Jesus and they don't need anything else.  It is often hard to answer them because once you try they just close the door on you or something like that. 


A crazy thing that happened this week - Elder Nate and I got into a Bible bash! haha It was kinda fun actually.  A man came up to us and told us to tell him everything about the after life.  He would then just deny it so it didn't go on to long, but it was kinda cool to see excitement in someone when we talked about the gospel!!  haha


We are teaching a man named Marco right now.  He came to church on Sunday.  It was so awesome to see him walk in. He doesn't speak any English so I can't really understand him but he has such a wonderful smile that it could lift anyone up. 

We had dinner with him this week and he loves when we can come over and meet with him. I hope that he continues to progress. 



About the Hurricane- 

   We went down right near the beach in Panama City for service and it almost made me wanna cry. It is totally destroyed. There are some houses standing, many have to be completely rebuilt and trees are everywhere.  It will take months to clean up everything. 

Just recently Mexico Beach officials(the one you see on pictures, and was hit first by the hurricane.. totally wiped out) opened up and are working with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  The Church is stepping in and making a difference.  So this Saturday we are headed down to ground zero to serve and are spending the night in tents. I'm looking forward to that. 

Thanks for the prayers and support.  The Church is True!! 

  I'm excited to see what the future holds.

Week #49 - Church News in Mozambique - July 29th, 2019

Short and brief this week!  I am staying in Beira for another transfer!!  They brought me your package! Thank you, Thank you ! I cannot tell you how much it meant to open it up.  A bunch of missionaries had already looked through it, but I don't think they took anything.  The shoes are AMAZING!!  I feel like I am in heaven when I wear them in the area.  The basketball hoop is the highlight when we come back home and I am trying to stretch out the food!  Please tell Benjamin thank you again for bringing for me!   I had tons of splits with different missionaries this week.  My companion had other responsibilities.  Our Bishop has set up for us to only mark baptisms for every 2 weeks now.  I think that will help them keep up with all the new members.  We are still teaching a ton and people are progressing well. Week # 23 - The Voice of the Spirit

Thanks to Elder Thornton - We have Pictures of CJ and the Nacala Squad!! (It took over 12 hrs for his family to receive these pictures!)   Well, the internet stinks and is not that great!  Still very slow and still no photos. This week has been lots of lessons and tons of walking. My feet have tons of blisters on them, and now my shoes are getting holes in the sides because of how much we walk.  I have been way tired and I am always hungry, but it’s been good.  I’m picking up on understanding the language, but still very difficult for me.  Please keep me in your prayers. Thanks for all the pictures and advice I love every one of them.  I’m trying to offer lots more prayers.  It has definitely helped.  I haven’t done a prayer silent or out loud in english since the MTC, so I hope they are still sincere and God knows I’m giving my all.
