Week #5 Tudo Bem (How are you?)

Ola Tudo Bem (Hello, How are you?)
One more week! I leave Monday morning so today is my last P-day! But, Friday and Saturday I can email:) The mission President said we could because it’s our last P-day... so if anyone wants to send me a email I’ll still be in America for a week!

Its kind of scary to realize I am leaving so soon.  I don`t feel ready nor does anyone in my district.  Especially with our Portuguese, but we all know Dom De Linguas (the Gift of Tongues) is real.
Anyway my flight plans are crazy!

There are 5 Missionaries headed to Mozambique, 4 Elders and 1 Sister. We are all leaving Monday morning at 5am and we arrive in Mozambique the next day (Tuesday) at about 9pm at night. Haha! so like 27 hours of flying:)  We are traveling from Salt Lake to Georgia then Georgia to Johannesburg and Johannesburg to Mozambique. But we don`t Know when our visa’s come in so keep a prayer in your heart that mine will come in. We should find out by Thursday!!

This week has been unbelievable. We went to the Temple and we had a Skype TRC with a man from Brazil. It went pretty well.  We taught him the principles of the gospel and I understood some of it. My teacher shared some really cool scriptures with me, after a lesson we gave that didn`t go as well as I wanted so he helped boost my confidence.  Bishop Waddell came and spoke with us! So it’s been a muito bem (very good) week.

Looking forward to General Conference this weekend.  I have always heard that listening to it while on your mission is a great experience.  It will be interesting what we hear from our Prophet!

Kinda sad but In our district there are 10 Elders and 4 sister, 2 going to Mozambique ( Elder Hancock and I) and the rest going to Portugal.  This week we found out that of the 12 going to Portugal only 4 are headed there on Monday. The rest are either going to stay in the MTC or go state side for a transfer so it’s been an emotional week.

But we are all so excited to preach the gospel around the globe. I am beyond excited to go to Mozambique!   I can’t wait until I meet the people there.

I know the Lord has called me to Mozambique, not to the place but to the people. I love the Savior with all my heart and will do anything he asks of me. I know He lives and I know he died for us. I can’t wait to share the message of Jesus Christ and how the Gospel brings joy to everyone I meet.
